Jewellers and metalsmiths working with precious metals are invited to apply to exhibit and sell their work at Goldsmiths’ Fair 2024.

The Goldsmiths’ Company aspires to create a culture of greater inclusivity. We issued a public Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) statement in 2021 setting out what we have done to improve equity, diversity and inclusion in the organisation. We need to have information about our Fair applicants now so that we can measure progress in the future. We can’t do this without your support.

As part of your Fair application you will be asked to complete a mandatory and confidential Goldsmiths’ Fair EDI Survey. Your survey data will not be used when considering your application and any personal data you provide in the survey will be destroyed after 6 months. We understand that not everyone will want to answer all the questions in the survey. If there are questions you do not wish to answer, you can simply select ‘prefer not to say’. Any data you can provide is better than none at all.

Data will help us measure success and enable us to improve our promotion, marketing and recruitment of Fair applicants. It will help us to plan for the future, invest resources where they are most needed, and do things in the right way.

This guide explains in more detail which questions we will ask and why we are asking them. Any data you choose to provide in the survey will be confidential and held in accordance with GDPR regulations.

If you have any questions or concerns, or you need help with the survey, please don’t hesitate to contact the Head of Fair, Harriet Scott at harriet.scott@thegoldsmiths.co.uk

** Note: those involved in both the work of the Company and Goldsmiths’ Centre may have already received an invitation to complete the survey. You still need to complete the Fair EDI survey. **
