About Pearl Ng
Pearl Ng, affectionately known as Pearly, is a Goldsmiths’ Craft and Design Council (GC&DC) award-winning designer specializing in high-end natural-coloured gemstone jewellery. With decades of experience in New York and Hong Kong, she has worked with some of the world’s top gemstones, collaborating with the cutters who facet them and the mines where they are extracted. A GIA Graduate Gemologist and a prolific designer from Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), Pearly possesses a unique understanding of the journey a gemstone takes from mine to market, blending her extensive knowledge and creative expertise.

Pearl approaches her creations with the precision of a symphony conductor, collaborating with top professionals in each field to realise her visions. Her dedication to sourcing the finest gemstones has taken her from the remote mines of Sri Lanka and East Africa to the depths of the Colombian jungle. Working closely with experienced gem cutters in Bangkok and Idar-Oberstein, her work showcases only the finest gems. Her hands-on experience with miners and their communities ensures responsible sourcing and sustainability. Pearl serves as an International Colored Gemstones Association (ICA) Board Director and is an active member of the trade.
Creating fabulous jewellery of dreams is Pearly’s driving force. Collaborating with highly skilled artisans and overseeing every step of the process, allows her incredible freedom in design and execution. Pearl’s work reflects a deep passion for gemmology and gemstones, with her distinctive style in bold sculptural qualities, fluidity in form, exacting proportion and geometry, and a nod to vintage cool elevating important gemstones, big or small, befitting to their high jewellery status. The exquisitely detailed pieces and ability to create elaborate bespoke items speak volumes about her being a private jeweller and her amazing relationship with her team who share the same love for their work. Pearl’s work embodies a soulful dimension that honours nature and celebrates gems as true rockstars.
