About Lucy Martin
Lucy lives and works in South London, where she grew up, establishing her own workshop in 2002 at Cockpit Arts in Deptford. She completed her jewellery training at Birmingham School of Jewellery and Central St. Martins.
Specialising in coloured gemstones, working with dealers throughout the UK as well as travelling to India regularly to source directly from the cutters there, the fundamentals of her jewellery are colour, contrast and construction.
Lucy offers a fully bespoke service working one-to-one to create highly personalised, one-of-a-kind jewellery using her client’s own stones or sourcing gems to fit the brief working.

Having her stones cut specifically for each piece allows her to design with a much wider colour palette and to introduce layers of contrast to her designs that create depth and harmony in the combinations.
Oxidised silver and 18ct gold in soft matte & satin finishes show off the colour of the stones whilst contributing to the balanced asymmetry that is a signature of her work.
Lucy’s collection is constructed by hand in a very traditional way. Despite using simple tools and ancient techniques she likes to create a sleek, minimal look by concealing connections and fixings wherever possible.
