Liz Willis

About Liz Willis

I am a contemporary jeweller, using silver & hand stitched silk threads to add layers of colour & texture to my work. I work with found objects that I collect from beachcombing & mudlarking along the River Thames. I particularly like those everyday objects, such as dress pins & copper nails, that have been made by the hands of past generations centuries ago in the days before mechanisation. They have had a previous life & use, & by working on them with my hands to make them wearable I am adding a new chapter in their history.
