Introducing Kyosun

Kyosun’s technique involves pre forming by hand the wires, and soldering each wire individually. This is a time consuming and difficult technique but when done well the result looks fantastic. This is followed by deploying a hand cut engraving technique to provide linear qualities to the overall visual statement.

The visual qualities of Kyosun’s enamel pieces  are achieved through her use and exploration of engine turned engraved patterns. These are overlaid with transparent enamels to create the colourful sunrise, sunset, starry night and northern lights vases. The experimental nature and combination of traditional craft techniques has given her licence to take an innovative approach, resulting in contemporary and conceptual designs that have striking aesthetics that give pleasure, intrigue and delight.
