More about the maker
Angela’s distinctive aesthetic of crisp, elegant lines and simplicity of form is derived from her desire to capture and represent the beauty of designed and natural surfaces, spaces and structures. Influences include the way light and shadow play over the geometry of our built architecture; the tightly composed and contrasting landscape and materials of a Japanese garden; the soft and undulating surface of sculpted stone; and the bold and graphic tones of black and white photography.
Fine craftsmanship and hand making are important to Angela. Each piece is carefully modelled, sculpted and finished with an exacting attention to detail.
