Maker Enquiry Form
Her work, described as both wearable art and miniature sculpture, engages with themes of deconstruction and reconstruction. Fragments are a recurring motif, as Joy draws inspiration from Greco-Roman antiquity, global mythologies, the concepts of ruin-lust and kintsugi. She questions, ‘The ruins are still standing, but what do they stand for?’.
Her work is in several museum collections and has been exhibited at
numerous prestigious events, including Design Miami, PAD, Goldsmiths’ Fair, Nina Johnson Gallery and recently an exhibition with alluded Illuminated Manuscript specialists, Les Enluminures.
