Jane Moore

About Jane Moore

Colour is the most important part of her work and enamel has become the perfect medium for her. Even though a difficult process Jane enjoys the challenge of applying glass to silver to create the imagery in her jewellery. Often her work has a figurative element. First she develops her ideas in a sketchbook and eventually produces a finished design which she then proceeds to emboss onto silver sheet. Transparent enamels offer a rich and intriguing secret over the silver creating a little mystery. Jane continues to be influenced by Japanese aesthetics. She loves to combine strong shapes with tiny detail.
