Ebba Goring

About Ebba Goring

I create contemporary fine jewellery inspired by textiles, heritage and the stories held in materials. My studio is based on the Fife coast in Scotland.

My practice brings together a number of processes layered upon one another, including needlework, wax carving, hand fabrication, mould making and casting. Pieces are often finished with carefully selected gemstones or ceramic colour plating, introducing bold colour and depth.

Fragile threads become enduring gold and silver, preserving the texture and movement of textile in metal.

Maker Enquiry Form

Much of my inspiration comes from Scottish textiles, both decorative and functional. I am drawn to motifs and patterns that span centuries, from embroidery and lace to fishermen’s nets and domestic cloth, and reinterpret these forms through contemporary fine jewellery.

My collections range from colourful one-of-a-kind statement pieces to refined gold jewellery designed to be worn every day and always.

Alongside the collections, I work closely with clients on bespoke commissions, including engagement rings, wedding rings and the remodelling of treasured family jewellery into new pieces to wear and love.
