Deborah Cadby

About Deborah Cadby

Fine contemporary jewellery, understated yet undoubtedly recognisable with soft carved edges and brushed finish. Each piece has a refined, understated elegance yet bold in design. Deborah carefully chooses unique old cut certified diamonds and beautiful coloured gemstones, sourcing stones from antique pieces that have been forgotten and unworn, giving them new life. She uses brushed 22ct gold, with its rich, warm hues and platinum for its steely subtlety to showcase the stones radiance and charm.

Deborah’s work is reminiscent of jewellery from ancient times, made using traditional materials, methods and techniques but undoubtedly modern and timeless in design.

Meet Deborah Cadby

Deborah mainly uses old cut/antique stones, both precious and semi-precious. Unique hand cut stones have a nature of their own, with irregular shapes, unusual dimensions and uneven facets and each piece of jewellery is designed to suit the stone. The combination of using these stones with a simplistic setting and brushed finish show off the stones natural beauty.

Setting and hand carving each piece means no two are the same. And a lot of time is spent  carving and sanding until the jewellery is soft and tactile and very comfortable for the wearer.
