Alison Macleod
About Alison Macleod
Established in 2003, Alison Macleod is a goldsmith working from her atelier in south west Scotland. Her work is shaped by a fascination with antique jewellery, the stories pieces carry through time, and the treasured objects found in old curiosity cabinets. Working predominantly in SMO gold, Alison creates both one-off and production pieces with a focus on craftsmanship, sentiment and longevity. A love of pattern runs through every design, from finely engraved surfaces to repeated ornamental forms. Her jewellery balances history and contemporary wearability, creating pieces intended to be worn, lived with, and passed on.
