About Yeena Yoon
Yeena Yoon makes jewellery that enhances the unique personality and style of individuals who appreciate fine designs and like to have a bespoke touch in their jewellery.
Inspired by her architectural background, Yeena’s approach to design is through innovative use of materials in search for a new spatial composition and its material expression.
The jewellery often explores the concept of hidden treasure that can shape-shift according to its use. The set is often presented as a single sculptural piece where it can be worn in various ways.
Yeena Yoon Studio is based in the heart of Hatton Garden at the Goldsmiths’ Centre in London.

Introducing Yeena
Yeena’s process often starts from looking at the rough stones and having a feeling for what they could possibly be.
In order to capture the essence of design, she often uses her hand to guide the shapes and channel her inspiration. It is often through three-dimensional sculpting using Plaster of Paris, or cutting and folding.
Every design comes with its own challenges, whether it is being interchangeable or bringing out the best qualities of the material. This means finding a right balance in proportion and also coming up with ingenious tailor-made details that are unique to each piece. Yeena finds this process enjoyable and deeply rewarding.
