Grace Girvan

About Grace Girvan

Grace grew up on the Orkney Islands and it is this beautiful archipelago that remains the main source of inspiration behind her work. Collecting and studying found objects on the shoreline is the starting point in Grace’s creative process. Orkney’s unique coastal landscape and the collected objects inform the colour, form and textures found within her work.

Maker Enquiry Form

Grace makes all pieces by hand, using traditional jewellery making techniques. Combining silver and subtle enamels with found beach pebbles, Grace creates beautiful, distinctive jewellery. The pebbles used are in the form they are found, they do not require shaping or smoothing, meaning every pebble used is completely unique. Grace uses transparent enamels in a limited colour palette, inspired by Orkney’s beautiful light and landscape.
