FIVE supported by Goldsmiths’ Fair

FIVE is a brand new platform conceived by five contemporary makers determined to shine a spotlight on the craft of contemporary silversmithing and metalwork.
FIVE 2022 is made up of UK based silversmiths: Angela Cork, Jessica Jue, Ane Christensen, Patrick Davison and Sheng Zhang. They will be showing on stand E7 at Collect Art Fair from 25 – 27 February.

As a small and focused new collective, they present a curated concept in silver and metal. With a shared ethos evolving around precision and fine craftsmanship, the group applies contemporary ideas to traditional materials and techniques and challenge the preconceptions and expectations of tradition, value, and the use of silver.
As well as representing this group of makers, the number FIVE is an important part of a wider strategic plan by the group to give an international platform over time to an ever evolving group of makers and provoke dynamic visual conversations about contemporary metal.

To create new opportunities for makers, encourage ambitious new work and develop a wider interest in our craft and inspire the next generation.
