Applications open for Goldsmiths’ Fair 2025

Apply now! Applications close on 28 February, 12pm GMT

Applications are now open for stands at Goldsmiths’ Fair 2025, including 10 places on the Emerging Business Bursary scheme, created to celebrate and nurture talent in the design and making of jewellery and contemporary silver.

About the Fair

Every autumn, the Goldsmiths’ Company hosts Goldsmiths’ Fair, an annual selling event and exhibition that showcases a curated selection of work by some of the best fine jewellers and contemporary silversmiths creating and making in the UK today. For two weeks, 136 exhibitors take over the impressive Goldsmiths’ Hall in the City of London. We’re joined by collectors, curators, VIP guests and contemporary metalwork lovers from across the world, who all travel to meet makers in person, enjoy the reveal of new collections, and socialise with other fans of jewellery and silver.

There is no fee to apply for Goldsmiths’ Fair. The Fair is a not-for-profit event – money exhibitors take during the two weeks stays with them – and it is one of multiple ways the Goldsmiths’ Company supports jewellers and silversmiths in the UK. We accept applications to exhibit from makers based in the UK that employ fewer than six people at the bench. If you use other workshops for specialist work, i.e. casting or stone setting, these workshops must be based in the UK too and you must declare them in your application. The Goldsmiths’ Company is the home of hallmarking in the UK and has protected consumers of precious metals for 700 years; as a result, we place a special emphasis on work made with precious metals and every item for sale at the Fair must comply with the UK Hallmarking Act of 1973.

The Emerging Business Bursary

Over the last 25 years, the Company has supported designer makers at the beginning of their careers with a bursary scheme for Goldsmiths’ Fair. In 2024, we relaunched the bursary scheme as the Emerging Business Bursary for makers in the first six years of business. The Fair recognises that makers follow different routes into the trade, whether through apprenticeship, higher education, self-teaching or short courses; as a result, there are no educational or age-related parameters for the bursary. In 2025, there will be 10 places at the Fair available through the bursary scheme.

The 10 recipients of the Emerging Business Bursary will receive:

To be eligible for the bursary, makers must have started their jewellery or silversmithing business within the last six years and have not exhibited at Goldsmiths’ Fair before. All Fair application criteria are available on the Goldsmiths’ Fair website.

Applications to exhibit at Goldsmiths’ Fair 2025 close on Friday 28 February, 12pm GMT. Check out our FAQs for application guidance, or get in touch.
