Tina Engell
About Tina Engell
Tina is a Danish Goldsmith trained in Copenhagen, Denmark during the 1980s. Since graduating from the Royal College of Art, London in 1992 she has worked independently designing and creating her own jewellery collection. Working in precious metals only, the pieces are handmade at her bench and her style is bold, simple yet classic.
Having closed her shop in Bath city centre she now works from a purpose-built studio where she welcomes clients during open days and by appointment.

Rather than drawing or working with wax, Tina prefers to work directly with the metal – shaping and filing until she gets it right. Often buying a stone before she has an idea of how she’ll use it, she’ll create a bespoke piece around the unique features of the particular stone. She wonders if this is the most productive method, but having been traditionally trained she loves to get straight into the making and seeing where the process takes her.
