COVID -19 update

The team would like to wish you all good health and update you on our preparations for Goldsmiths’ Fair 2020.

At present, we continue to plan for Goldsmiths’ Fair 2020 (22 Sept – 4 Oct). Our hope is of course that the global COVID-19 crisis simmers down enough that it will be safe to stage this years Fair. However, we are monitoring the situation closely and continue to adjust our plans in light of government advice and the imposed but necessary restrictions to movement and gathering. We are also diverting some of our energies to increase the support of our makers, many of whom will find these unprecedented times extremely challenging, through our social channels and more directed campaigns. Follow us on Instagram for behind the scenes views of our makers in isolation! #GoldsmithsStories

The Goldsmiths’ Company remains open for business. However, the health, safety and wellbeing of our staff, members, partners and all guests and visitors to Goldsmiths’ Hall is of utmost importance to us, and we have postponed or cancelled all public events and non-essential internal meetings due to take place at the Hall till 20 April 2020.

Since the onset of the crisis, we took steps to keep the Assay Office sites open for as long as is safely possible. However, in consideration of the most recent Government announcement we have took the difficult but necessary decision to close our Assay Office across all sites (Goldsmiths’ Hall, Greville Street and Heathrow). Customers can read more about the closure here.

All staff who can work from home are now doing so: we are all available by phone, email. So please don’t hesitate to contact us.

The best places to find the most up-to-date information about what’s happening with Goldsmiths’ Fair and at the Goldsmiths’ Company during this time are our respective websites and social channels.
