The winners of the annual Goldsmiths’ Craft and Design Council Competition were announced by renowned jewellery expert, Joanna Hardy, at a ceremony at Goldsmiths’ Hall on Monday 27 February.
The competition rewards excellence in technical skills and creative design in precious metals and related materials. It accommodates all craft and design activities in the profession, including diamond mounting, setting, silversmithing, chasing, enamelling, jewellery, 2D design such as CAD, amongst others.
124 winners were honoured in 24 categories, with 31 Gold Awards, 39 Silver Awards and 54 Bronze Awards, this included many of our Goldsmiths’ Fair exhibitors.
The Crafts & Design Council Awards Exhibition featuring prize-winning entries follows the award ceremony at Goldsmiths’ Hall. Open from Tuesday 28 February to Friday 3 March, the display provides a fascinating insight into the artistry and craftsmanship of today’s leading jewellers and silversmiths.
