‘Festival of Brooches’ exhibition is now on at the Woldstone gallery until 1 April.
Co- founder of Woldstone, Bronwen Jameson explains, “The brooch is one of the most enduring and personal jewellery items; they have always been a glorious way to signal something about your personality that may not immediately be apparent. Brooches are never only accessories – they will always make a statement! We want you to be inspired by Woldstone’s collection of wonderful and unique brooches and pins by leading contemporary goldsmiths and silversmiths – and give brooches a stab.”
The brooches and pins exhibited at the Woldstone gallery display contrasting styles from contemporary goldsmiths working with a wide range of media including fine, precious metals, rare gemstones, vitreous enamel, ceramic, wood and acrylic.
The Festival of Brooches features pins and brooches by many of our Goldsmiths’ Fair exhibitors including: Silvia Weidenbach, Alan Craxford, Rie Taniguchi, Catherine Mannheim, Kayo Saito, Grace Girvan, Daphne Krinos, Jessica Turrell, Kelly Monro, Vicki Ambery-Smith, Sarah Pulvertaft, Susi Hines, Sarah Parker Eaton.
