Jeweller, Ami Pepper showed us some photographs of what influences her work.
‘The images of nature are taken from the coastlines around Pembrokeshire where I grew up. Gathering up all my beach comb finds I hoard them in my studio to study and take impressions.’
I carve all my pieces in wax. I love wax, it takes on all sorts of textures and is very forgiving. Sculpting the wax in the shapes of shells and barnacles, I then cluster them around stones creating jewels that to me are like ocean treasure.’
