About Alan Craxford
Alan started making his own highly individual work in 1972. He has become identified with Hand Engraving not only as a practitioner but also as a founder member of the Hand Engraving Association.
Over many years Alan has taught more students on more courses than he can remember. He have exhibited at Goldsmiths’ Fair over 20 years. Alan’s work has been widely exhibited in major exhibitions within the UK. Internationally in USA, Japan, China, Germany.
In 2019 one of Alan’s pieces was acquired for the V&A to join another of his pieces that has been part of the museum’s jewellery collection for the last three decades. Both pieces are about light refraction.
