Join Liz Olver as she talks to Fred Rich who is well established as one of Britain’s most dynamic and exciting art enamellers. His distinctive style and technical expertise make him one of the country’s foremost designer-makers, attracting a wide circle of discerning collectors, both at home and abroad.

Fred’s outstanding work, in which technical perfection gives free rein to creativity and artistry has won him many awards, including four times winner of the Jacques Cartier Memorial Award.

Liz Olver is the Director of Product Design at bespoke fine jewellery brand Vashi.
A former Senior Lecturer on the BA (Hons) Jewellery Design course at Central Saint Martins, Olver moved from education when she joined the De Beers group in 2003 as Product Developer, followed by a tenure at Links of London as Designer. She then joined Annoushka as Design Director where she worked alongside the founder to fully realise the brand from both a development and design perspective during her 12 years with the brand.

Fred Rich lives and works in beautiful East Sussex, in the heart of the South Downs National Park. The countryside around him is a constant inspiration, helping produce truly magnificent pieces of enamelled silverware and 18ct gold jewellery. A jeweller at heart, Fred regards his enamelled silverware as jewellery for the home.
