Join Corinne Julius as she converses with silversmith and jeweller Abigail Brown about her unique work inspired by natural lichen, and the concepts and ethos behind the new collection.
Corinne Julius is a curator as well as a freelance journalist, critic and broadcaster with a special interest in contemporary craft and design. Corinne writes regularly for a number of publications including the Evening Standard’s Homes & Property, Crafts and Selvedge and is a reviewer for Country Life and BBC Radio 4’s Front Row. She conducts ‘In Conversations.’ for institutions and galleries, including, the Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths, the De La Warr Pavilion, the Sarah Myerscough Gallery and the Heller Gallery, New York.
Abigail Brown has been producing contemporary designs in silver since 2001 and has exhibited internationally. Her work is multi-award winning, including the the Bavarian States Prize and the ‘Awen’ medal by Gorsedh Kernow, and is included in the collection of National Museum Wales. Abigail is a Freeman of the Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths’ and she has received the Freedom of the City of London.
