Saatchi Gallery | 28 February – 3 March
We will be hosting a Booth Talk on our stand (4.3) at Collect on Saturday 2 March at 1.15pm. David Mills will host a brief discussion between three emerging makers, Jessica Jue, Callum Partridge and Samuel Waterhouse, on why they chose a career working in precious metals.
Jessica Jue looks at organic themes as inspiration for her contemporary designs which are created using traditional techniques such as hand raising. Raised in Vienna, Jessica moved to the UK to study at Edinburgh College of Art and went on to complete a one-year residential course at the Bishopsland Educational Trust.
Callum Partridge graduated just under 2 years ago and has since exhibited at Goldsmiths’ Fair. His work brings non-precious metals alongside silver and precious leaf, to create forms that relate to the human body and posture.
Samuel Waterhouse is a self-taught maker who looks to antiquity for inspiration. Mixing different colour golds and silver he produces extraordinary pieces that now grace the homes of some of the most prolific collectors.
Along with these 3 silversmiths we will be exhibiting new works by 11 other jewellers and silversmiths, we look forward to seeing you at our stand:
