Applications for 2021

Goldsmiths’ Fair plans to go ahead in 2021 as a ‘blended’ event

We are delighted to announce that Goldsmiths’ Fair is planning to go ahead in 2021, offering exhibitors, and our guests, a ‘blended’ event this autumn. We aim to open the doors of Goldsmiths’ Hall to exhibitors and visitors from 28 September – 10 October 2021. This will be supported by our new digital selling platform and online programme of activity, allowing us to continue reaching visitors from around the world.

While we are, of course, excited at the prospect of bringing people together again in the autumn, we remain very alive to the fact that plans will have to be fluid, given the uncertainties around the Coronavirus pandemic. The health and safety of our exhibitors, and that of our visitors, remains our number one priority, and we will regularly assess the situation in the coming months.

All 2020 Fair exhibitors offered an automatic place in 2021
Early last spring, at the height of the first wave of the pandemic, the Company took the decision to offer all 2020 exhibitors an automatic place in 2021, because we wanted them to have the opportunity to take up their physical stand and enjoy the full benefits that come with this prestigious event. We will be honouring that commitment, which means that

THE APPLICATION PROCESS FOR THE 2021 EVENT WILL NOT OPEN.

We very much look forward to receiving your applications in 2022, when we will celebrate our 40-year anniversary. We plan to release new content later in the year to support anyone who wishes to apply for a place to exhibit at the Fair 2022, giving people plenty of time to prepare their application. We would very much welcome and encourage applications from those who have not exhibited with us before.

Goldsmiths’ Fair welcomes Matthew Burgess to the team
We are delighted to announce that Matthew Burgess will be joining the Goldsmiths’ Fair team on 11 January as Acting Head of Fair. He will be responsible for delivering the 2021 Fair while I, Harriet Scott, am on maternity leave. Matthew has worked for leading commercial art galleries in London and Russia delivering events and exhibitions and we’re excited to welcome him to the team.

I will be ‘in the office’ until early February all being well so if you have any questions or thoughts please don’t hesitate to contact me, as ever it is incredibly important to us that you feel able to voice your ideas and concerns with us whether you are exhibiting or not.
